Pyrex glass thermometric wells

corpo

The Pyrex glass thermometric wells for corrosive fluids are specifically used for galvanic applications as protective sheaths for temperature probes.

These sheaths are used whenever the probe is immersed vertically.

They are mainly used in galvanic baths or in open‐bath processes with aggressive chemicals.

Material: borosilicate glass. It is a sturdy material that is much more impact‐resistant than common glass. It is known for its thermal stress resistance quality and its low expansion coefficient.

Composition:
81% SiO2 ‐ 13% B2O3 ‐ 3,5% Na2O ‐ 2,5% Al2O3

Operating temperature:
‐40 ÷ +100 °C

Sheath thermal conductivity:
1,4 W/(m*K)

Surface electrical resistivity:
1017 Ω/cm²

Sheath characteristics:

  • Pyrex glass tube closed at the bottom, of variable length.
  • Internal diameter 7.6 mm ‐ External diameter 12 mm.
  • Grey PVC fitting in three parts with fixing thread and 1/2" sealing lock nut.
  • Sealing with bi‐component resin resistant to chemicals and to a maximum temperature of 120 °C.
